About Claudia's Work
Dr. Claudia Radel is an expert in gender, the environment, migration, and international development, with degrees from Clark, Princeton, and Brown Universities in the United States. Her research focuses on human migration and environmental change in smallholder farm-forest systems in Latin America, addressing social problems of hunger, poverty, and inequality. She is recipient of a National Science Foundation Career Award and has published over 60 academic journal articles and book chapters. She currently serves as Head for the Department of Environment and Society in the S.J. and Jessie E. Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Utah State University.
