About Christos's Work
I am a conservation scientist focused on applying spatial and statistical tools to assess anthropogenic impacts on biodiversity and design evidence-based conservation strategies. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for Conservation Science and Practice, published by the Society for Conservation Biology; Ecological Solutions and Evidence, published by the British Ecological Society; Biodiversity and Conservation, published by Springer Nature; and Integrative Conservation, published by the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden. I am also a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA). I have served as an expert evaluator for proposals submitted to the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, including MSCA-PF and Cluster 6, the Smith Fellows Program, in partnership with the Society for Conservation Biology, and chapters of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
