About Christos's Work
I am a conservation scientist focused on applying spatial and statistical tools to assess anthropogenic impacts on biodiversity and to design evidence-based conservation strategies. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for (1) Conservation Science and Practice (published by the Society for Conservation Biology), (2) Ecological Solutions and Evidence (published by the British Ecological Society), (3) Biodiversity and Conservation (published by Springer Nature), and (4) Integrative Conservation (published by the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden). I am also a member of the IUCN’s World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA). I have served as an expert evaluator for proposals submitted to the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme (MSCA-PF & Cluster 6), the Smith Fellows Program (in partnership with the Society for Conservation Biology), and chapters of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
