About Chiara's Work
I am currently Assistant Professor of ecological planning at the University of Trento (IT), doing research within the field of sustainability science. I work at the interface between urban planning and ecology to investigate how nature can make our cities healthier, more livable, and resilient to climate change. My research focuses on the relationship between urbanization patterns, nature, and wellbeing; and on innovative planning approaches that integrate ecological knowledge. Formerly Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Landscape Ecology Lab, Humboldt University of Berlin (DE) and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Environmental and Climate Science of Lund University (SE), I hold a PhD from the University of Trento (IT). I worked as external expert for the European Commission and I have experience as planning consultant for regional (subnational) and local administrations.
