About Charles's Work
Dr. Brush has over 20 years of comprehensive civil engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. He has developed several groundwater flow models and integrated hydrologic models using the IWFM and MODFLOW applications. Dr. Brush was California DWR’s principal developer of their California Central Valley Groundwater-Surface Water Simulation Model (C2VSim). He has completed numerous hydrologic modeling studies including Central Valley water use under climate change, streamflow impacts of groundwater pumping and water transfers, and economic impacts of water shortages. He has also worked with local stakeholders to update and extend existing hydrologic models to investigate new topics.
