Camilo Pedrollo

My PhD research focus on the development of land using modeling for pointing the factors that influence land abandonment and secondary forests regrowth in the Amazon. I am mixing Earth Observation/Remote Sensing analysis with stakeholders survey to validate what effectively influences decision making on the ground. I plan to develop a model to establish priority areas of intervention for the development of agroforestry as a mechanism to combine ecological restoration and socioeconomic development in the Amazon region.
