Birgitta Putzenlechner

I am interested in monitoring the status, changes and productivity of terrestrial ecosystems by means of Earth Observation/Remote Sensing and environmental monitoring and Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling). I studied geography and computer science. My research background is on quality assessment of Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) at the biosphere-atmosphere-interface. I currently develop landscape resilience metrics, integrating microclimate and Earth Observation/Remote Sensing observations to provide tools for evidence-based decision making in land and forest management.
