About Argemiro Teixeira's Work

Environmental Systems Modeling Researcher at INPE/Brazil. My research focuses on land-use and cover changes and their spatial impacts on the water-energy-food nexus. Spatial models using remote sensing data to inform public policy and decisions that balance economic development and conservation in Brazil. PhD in Analysis and Modeling of Environmental Systems (UFMG, Brazil), Master in Applied Meteorology (Land Use & Climate) and a Bachelor's in Forestry Engineering (UFV, Brazil). Experience leading research projects funded by CNPq, the Rainforest Foundation, and the World Bank. CAPES Thesis Award 2023. International experience at the University of Bologna/Italy and the University of Bonn/Germany.
