Anatoliy Smaliychuk

Associated professor at the Department of Physical Geography at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (IFNUL). He earned PhD degree in 2013 from IFNUL and invesigated recent land use dynamics in Ukrainian Carpathins in this thesis. In 2014-2017 he was a visiting scholar at Humboldt University of Berlin, Center for Earth Observation/Remote Sensing of Land Surfaces of the University of Bonn, and Catholic University of Leuven. Current research interests include land use and land change, its patterns and drivers in Ukraine caused by both local and large-scale transformation in social systems.
