About Alison's Work
Dr Alison Greenaway is a Senior Researcher at Landcare Research, Auckland, New Zealand. Over the last 17 years her work has focused on the nexus of environmental and social issues and has engaged with policy and public deliberation processes. Alison prioritises co-authored writing opportunities supporting integrated research. She has works on topics from public health to invasive species; climate change to community-led research. Alison received a PhD in Geography from the University of Auckland, and an MA (Hons) in Development Studies. She has a particular interest in the co-production of sustainable development knowledge and practice to support Sustainable Land Management. This includes both facilitating and evaluating processes which foster collective deliberation to address complex issues. Current research addresses social implications of new technologies for invasive species management; the implementation of large scale biodiversity restoration and pest control across public-private boundaries; climate change governance, and marine ecosystem based management.
