Alex Herzig

I am a Geoinformation Science (GIScience) expert seeking to exploit computer science methods and technology for environmental science applications. My specialty is the development and application of geospatial models and tools for simulating and assessing landscape processes and supporting land-use management. I have experience in and published scientific papers on land-use Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling), spatial optimisation, integrated Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling), and soil erosion Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling). Additionally, I am a passoinate programmer and develop the free and open source spatial Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling) and optimisation framework LUMASS.
