About Abera Misgana's Work
I am an academic and researcher with a strong background in water resources engineering and geospatial sciences. I hold a BSc in Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering from Hawassa University, Ethiopia, and an MSc in Hydraulic Engineering from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ethiopia. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in GIS and Cartography at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China.
My academic career includes serving as an assistant lecturer at Axum University and Wallaga University and as a lecturer at Ambo University, Ethiopia (2019–2023). Throughout my career, I have been actively engaged in teaching, research, student supervision, and academic service.
My research focuses on the application of remote sensing and spatial analysis to water resources management and environmental sustainability.
