I am a geographer and physicist by training fascinated by the opportunities Geoinformatics and Earth Observation (EO) offer. I am interested in applying big geospatial data, machine learning and cloud computing to land system change and ecological studies focusing on coupled human-environmental systems, biodiversity and conservation. I am a strong advocate of open science and reproducible research.
