Molly H. Polk, PhD is the Associate Director of Sustainability Studies and a Lecturer in the Department of Geography and The Environment at the University of Texas at Austin.
Molly specializes in land change science in the tropical mountains of Latin America. Related themes of research and teaching include landsape sustainability, landscape ecology, climate change, social-ecological system theory, and professional development for undergraduate students. Publications have appeared in Remote Sensing, Global Change Biology, Mires and Peat, Wetlands, the Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Applied Geography, and Urban Ecosystems, among others.
Currently, Molly's research takes place in Peru's Huascarán National Park and in La Araucanía, Chile.
