The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL is part of the ETH Domain. Approximately 600 people work on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards.
The Research Unit "Land Change Science" analyzes and assesses short- and long-term changes in the natural resources of the built, managed and semi-natural landscape. By February 2023 or by agreement, the Land-Use Systems Group is offering a tenure-track-position as a Scientist in "Land System Analysis" 80-100% (f/m/d).
As an experienced scientist, you will contribute to shape WSL’s landscape research in the coming years and further strengthen its national and international visibility. You will develop new methods and concepts in the field of socio-ecological systems analysis/coupled human-nature systems and provide visible contributions to international landscape research, but also to national themes and research projects. Expertise in spatial analysis and modeling and experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with ecological and social science disciplines are relevant for this position as well as successful publication activities and acquisition of competitive external funding.
