---OPEN TO EUROPEAN UNION CITIZENS ONLY----
We have new vacancy to work in our group on Sustainable Bioeconomy at the European Commision's Joint Research Centre (JRC) dedicated to developing a system’s level understanding of the EU bioeconomy and its social and environmental impacts, with a specific focus on land systems. The expertise does not necessarily have to be in land system’s dynamics, rather expertise in other complexity science tools is welcome (e.g. system dynamics, sociometabolic approaches), and a will to work at the interface between science and policy applying a Post Normal Science lens. The main goal of the project is supporting decision making in bioeconomy sectors through approaches which are alternative (or complementary to) more 'traditional' neoclassical economic models.
The position is labelled Land systems scientist – Methods in systems thinking approaches for bioeconomy, with application to land systems
The job ad is attached and is also posted here https://recruitment.jrc.ec.
This position at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre campus in Ispra, Italy.
