GLP Young Speakers Series: June 2021

The GLP Integration of Rural and Urban Land Systems Working Group is pleased to invite you to their ongoing Young Speakers Series featuring:

• Prof. Shiqiang Du, "Floodplain development: interactions between rural and urban"
• Melaku Bogale Fitawok, " Modeling the Impact of Urbanization on Land-Use Change in Bahir Dar City, Ethiopia: An Integrated Cellular Automata–Markov Chain Approach"
• Dr. Dario Domingo Ruiz, " Effect of zoning plans on urban land-use change: A multi-scenario simulation for supporting sustainable urban growth"

The GLP Young Speakers Series is held monthly and is a platform particularly for young researchers to present their work and to connect to each other as well as to more senior researchers.

If you would like to present your research in the Young Speakers Series, please contact WG Coordinator Anton van Rompaey with a short bio of yourself (or link to your GLP member site) and a summary of what you would like to present.

The presentations will be recorded. The recording will be available on the Youtube channel of the Global Land Programme within two weeks after the event as well as on the GLP website.
